Why did I decide to embark on a two-year journey?

My earliest memory is of myself in a stroller, gazing up at the crowns of palm trees. I was not yet three years old. As a small child, I loved coloring flags of the world, and as a teenager my favorite social game was “Countries-Cities.” By the time I reached adulthood, I had already visited nearly twenty-five countries. At some point, I realized I longed for something more – a journey around the world. I owe these dreams and experiences to my parents. It is thanks to them that I developed a love of travel, which has become one of the central axes of my life.

This passion, intertwined with curiosity and determination, continues to set new goals before me. I believe our planet conceals countless mysteries and breathtaking natural wonders – I want to be close to them, to see them with my own eyes. Yet I am fascinated not only by the history of the Earth, but also by the history of the species that has left the deepest mark upon it – humanity. Our architectural and cultural heritage rests on our shoulders, while the diversity of human experience fills the colors of the globe with warmth and meaning.

With this awareness and the passion instilled in me, many years ago I decided that I wanted to understand the world more deeply. It is difficult to truly comprehend something without seeing it firsthand and experiencing it for yourself. That is why I seek to explore, investigate, and reflect through the act of traveling. Travel is not only about new places and emotions – it is also education and growth. The phrase “travel broadens the mind” is far from an empty cliché; nothing has developed me more than direct contact with other cultures. Only then do you realize how complex and multifaceted the world truly is.

The idea of a long journey first took shape in my mind about ten years ago. However, I knew I needed time to mature and prepare myself mentally for such a step. In the meantime, I completed a certain chapter of my life by visiting every country in Europe – something I achieved in my thirties. It was then that I felt my emotional maturity had reached a level that allowed me to think about the adventure of a lifetime not only in theory. I realized that after the epilogue, it was time for the first chapter.

I mention emotional intelligence because it is essential for understanding the world. Inner stability and maturity help us accept the truth – even when it is not comfortable or pleasant.

I am ready for Asia. I take my hundred-liter backpack, all the necessary equipment, and in the spirit of authenticity set out on a two-year journey across the neighboring continent – from west to far east. I believe this time will allow me to better understand not only the world, but also myself. Personal growth is a fundamental value to me, and in today’s global reality it seems more important than ever.

My mantra is: “Beyond every boundary awaits the truth of unity.” First we must cross the borders within ourselves so that we can cross those between us – in harmony, not in conflict.

I am deeply happy to be making this decision at this very stage of my life. I do not merely accept my fate – I love it. Amor fati.
