Traveling with a tent and a backpack through local places is, for me, not just an adventure but a way of life that allows me to be closer to people and to the world itself. In the simplicity of this kind of travel, I find true freedom, one that doesn’t depend on comfort. The closeness of nature and the rhythm of the day set by the sun and the rain teach me mindfulness and humility. What I value most, however, are the encounters with people – ordinary residents of villages and small towns who are always eager to share a piece of their everyday life. I believe that genuine community is born out of openness, mutual respect, and a willingness to help, regardless of status.
These journeys show me that the world can be more balanced and fair if we give each other a chance to understand. It’s not about grand gestures but about small acts of solidarity and attentiveness to one another. Every route is a new story, and every step is a step toward freedom, both personal and collective, tied to responsibility for others. This way of being in the world gives me hope that a society where no one is left behind is truly possible. In those moments, I feel alive. I feel that I am part of this world.
Here, you can see what this kind of travel really looks like. I don’t spend much money on accommodation, nor do I travel in luxury. I use planes only when necessary. I carefully choose places that are worth their price and complement the whole journey with delicious plant-based food. Not everyone chooses this way of exploring the world, but I’m convinced that everyone can afford it. I want to show that you don’t need to spend a lot to gain meaningful life experience through travel. In my documentation for each country or destination, I note down the essential budget, proving that meaningful journeys don’t have to cost much.
